Tuning AEM ecu systems
Just curious as to what people are paying and how long it's taking for a typical boosted honda/acura? We currently don't offer this service, but like to hear feedback so we can compare with hondata. We like some feedback from other shops as well, if you guys don't mind. thanks

Re: Tuning AEM ecu systems (JDogg)
me and my friend have been trying to tune his AEM for the past few months.. at first we were mostly learning.. now we have the hang of it. ITs a bitch to tune on AEM mostly because there is so much stuff. We spent 2 full days at the local shop with a guy who tunes TEC 2 systems and he never got a good tune out of it. My advice to any shop who is doing it.. offer eirther free to the first person.. or learn it inside and out because the so called best tuners around here couldn't really figure it out

if a shop is serious about tuning the ems aem offers a free class for shops to take. teaches the ins and outs of the ems system, it does NOT however teach how to tune, that can only come from experience.

well said, the reason why your Tec2 man couldn't tune it comes in 2 parts..... 1, the EMS isn't at all like electromotive, and 2, he probably wasnt that great of a tuner..... either that or he was shocked to see that AEM actually can do SOMETHING on its own
