Tuning?
I am doing a turbo set up on my 00 Si and i have hondata and the price i was given to tune it was about 900 dollars that sounds high to me can someone tell me the average price to tune hondata?
when i got my 00 si tuned a while back Church Automotive in Torrance, CA only charged 150/ hour. Took me about 2 hours to tune, so about 300 bucks. Thats pretty high. If that includes Hondata, like the person above mentioned, then thats a different story.

No i already have the S200 unit that is just for tuning it. Me and one of my freinds is installing it so all they have to do is tune it.
By the way how hard is hondata to install and will i have to change to obd1 or change my ecu.

You need to have a Hondata ECU, or have your current ECU "chipped." As for installation, just plug in your hondata ECU and connect the blue box and that's all. It's easy once you know what to do.
For $900 you better be getting some KY Jelly with that tune because you are getting screwed! To install Hondata you need a chipped ECU and then a conversion harness if the car is OBDII. Other than that it's quite simple to install. For tuning you should be looking at $300-$600 for the tune including dyno time depending on who's tuning it.
If they wanna charge you 900 then there dishonest people. I wouldnt take it to them even if they dropped the price donw to 300 just because you dont want those kinda people working on your car. my tuner charged me $120 an hour and it took 1.5 hours so $180 that was at 9psi.
boomslang fab has a harness for 74 shipped i beleive, and you can get a hondata s100b system for 379 shiped from wiredspeed. you also need someone to chip your p28 OBD-1 ecu also, which is anywhere from 50-65 dollars.
