Tuners ...picky about setup???
So I am bout to pick up my car from the shop but the tuner said he will not tune my car unless I have the nippon denso fuel pump supra tt. I am currently running a walboro 255 with a fully built low compression gsr with 800cc needles.
He says he blew a engine on a nsx with two 255s'
I wanna give him the benifit of the doubt but they wanna charge me 400 for the pump and 280 for install.....F THAT !!!!!
BS and go to shawn church or save up and get the pump installed because will benifit me down the road..??

I would avoid that shop personally. Nothing wrong with a walbro IMO for giving fuel to 800cc injectors-

I would be outa there...no question. The world is running walbro successfully...lol. Buy a xenocron 255lph pump for 76 shipped and hand that to him then. Installed at least 10 or so of them and haven't had a single problem.

I would ditch that shop and go to another shop that tunes!!! That's horrible. Hope you figure something out!!! But when you do, let us know how it went.

Wow talk about rippig people off. They should tune the car reguardless of what fuel pump your running. So many peopel run walbro fuel pumps without problems. Granted its no Bosch 044 but it gets the job done. and 205 for installation of a fuel pump on a honda??? geeze even on the obd0 hondas it doesnt take 250 worth of labor to change a fuel pump

511whp 22 psi on a walboro for me!
205$ for installation? Maybe 1 hrs labor for some one who has never done one before! Thats a rip off.
Take it some where else!

yeah that shop sounds shady. Not only ripping you off, but not having knowledge of how much you can efficiently get out of a walbro. c'mon.

Re: Tuners ...picky about setup???
he did helpme out today his idiot mech wanted to charge me 100 for an ecu install and that was a big negative....
So I go intoday to put some more money down on the profec b i got installed and my test pipe welded. Mr. Met said he would upload a 2.0 l basemap on my s300 so I can drive my car home instead of paying for towing. That was a huge help
2.0 because my engine is bored to 1.9l

Re: Tuners ...picky about setup???
If I was you; I would keep your setup the way it is and drive to a new shop even if the mean a shop hours away to get it professionally tuned. Cause your setup life span is only as good as the tuners tune.
Also I made 462hp@16psi on pump w/ 1000cc, walbro 255lph.

Yeah been running my walbro 255 not even the HP version for 25k miles with a 50psi base pressure and 16 psi boost on pump gas with not a single hickup from my walbro. I tune cars and tuned my own ride and its a beast with the sc63
