Tune a t25 boosted d16a6
Well i am about to start putting all together in a month and i am just wondering about tuning...
Set up:
Stock d16a6
t25
6-8 psi
DSM 390 cc
Walbro 255
d16y8 IM
b18a1 TB
Volvo BOV "i love junkyards "
DSM sidemount IC
XS Manual boost controller
B&M FPR
I plan on getting a boost, fuel pressure, AFR, and Oil pressure gauges, and getting it dynoed; but the complication i have run into is how do I may sure im running the best i can, will this be enough? what about my ignition/timing? any advice would help sorry if this is a dumb post, but also i want to stay OBD0, and i know alot of the tuning stuff is for OBD1...thanks anyone just send anything thanks so much

for obd-0 applications, use turbo edit
I think you need the 28 prong chip, not the 40 prong one. Don't quote me on that. I think it is the 90-91 pm6 ecu you need.
try:

Re: Tune a t25 boosted d16a6 (Mach69)
so if i use the first link i just buy the kit then i load the application onto my computer and change the stats of certain criterias AFR & stuff then i can put the information onto my chipped ECU and the car will run off that basemap "am i using the right terms?" and if so does this eliminate the need for gauges because this program will show the amounts of things like fuel pressure and boost??? thanks

If you use datalogging fulltime with a laptop in the car... then no gauges are needed. But you'd have to have the laptop open at all times for it to be your gauges.
You would need a chipkit, the knowledge to chip the ecu, a datalog cable, a chip burner, a wideband o2 and/or ostrich is also advisable.

Re: Tune a t25 boosted d16a6 (splitime)
so would my car run ok though if i just have it dynoed/tuned at like church auto and then keep track of my AFR, timing, boost, oil and fuel pressure since im running low boost...or is the chipping and everything a must for safe fuctioning?

that is a small turbo you can run more then that i ran 13psi on my setup on a y7 with a t25 on crome pro...get some ARP headstuds and dont have to worry about headgakets cause you will blow them with stock studs...but my setup with d16y7 with 450cc injector on 10-13psi on po6 crome pro....never had problems...still be runin today if the guy that i sold it to didnt total it...

Re: (89efDUSTY)
Will i be ok not fantastic with a dyno-tune and then keeping the AFR, boost, fuel, and oil pressure in check...i mean its better then just running an FMU right?
Also im thinking of installing my 255 fuel pump with the 390 injectors & FPR onto the y8 IM and the b18 TB this weekend before the boost set up will it run ok if i keep the stock Fuel Pressure PSI?

Re: (89efDUSTY)
For a DD application, I would do some sort of formal ECU tuning even at low boost for safety. "Free" **** like CROME and a little bit of street tuning would do worlds of good in terms of reliability and consistency for very little $$$. Fuel pump is a must. 390cc DSM injectors? Did they come out of a automatic cuz they are typically 450cc.
