thank you for at least creating some relevancy to H-T about it. Nicely put, my friend. I completely agree with you. Texas Mile is something that many even Turbo Hondas are starting to get into as a more challenging avenue than just using the 1/4 mile as a valid type of litmus test..

So some are AWD and some aren't? Why would you run this RWD if you can have AWD?

They conver them because not only does it drop some weight but the awd system sucks power. Rwd = less drivetrain loss

I understand the weight loss but Id much rather have the awd. I think that's what makes the Lambo platform much better than others such as the viper. The viper can't put down its 1100whp till like 120mph. I drove a stock 2009 viper with 600hp last weekend and even that is hard to get to the ground. My evo is faster stop light to stop light around the city. Plus the new viper runs 345 series tires in the back!

^^ A viper doesnt have its engine sitting over its drive wheels, and they make stupid torque.... big difference in traction especially when you remove the front drivetrain.

Not to mention I am sure its cheaper to buy a tranny that spins 2 wheels and not 4, plus all the extra stuff you have to buy to make the front hold the power without breaking (axles, diff etc).

I hear what you're sayin, especially with tranny cost. But the new V10 is really long and well back in the car, the weight distribution is actually 48:52 front to rear. The new Viper is much better than the old one. I easily got sideways and spun out in a '94. The new car is much more composed and agile than you'd think...
