trying to problem shoot TPS
It can cause lots of symptoms, for me it has mostly been bucking/hesitating at part throttle.
Get a multimeter and check your voltage at the sensor. It should be .45 closed and 4.5 WOT.

thats what it did to mine. You have to buy a new one used also, as honda wont sell it without the entire throttle body for $700. but used, very cheap.
Does it suppose to throw a code? mine does that hestitation...and idle ****....but no code....what do u guys recommend? gettin a new one? used? or do u guys know any chemicals that they sell at the local auto stores?

well i got a code 5 for a check light. i had my friend look it up for me and thats what he said it was. sooo i beleaved him, but i'm gona look up that code myself later today just to be sure.
the most common tps fail is a dead spot in it. this means that as you open the throttle the volts go up that is normal. With a bad tps the voltage will drop off in that spot so the car thinks you just closed the throttle. you can check the open and closed volts on the tps with a multimeter but the dead spot is allmost allways in the middle area of the tps's sweep. To test this you need a scope most people wont have that
good luck
good luck
when my tps was going bad my car was surging badly and i had part throttle problems like everyone said. you can find them new or used on ebay for about $25. i went to honda to try to get one and they said they could only sell me the whole throttle body for $820. i didnt get a code when it was goin bad though.
