well, my motor was taken apart after 1000 miles, and no signs of any wear yet. I will pop it apart again at 2000 and at 5000 after that. I will keep you guys updated. Everything looks good, so like I said, we'll keep you updated. I have another block that is getting work right now, so, if I have any problems, I will be going to a sleeved block. But, if I don't have to, I won't.

thanks,

Mike (running forged w/o sleeves)
and still running

do you have an a1 or an a4 block?

well, since he has a BB1, my guess is that he's got an A1 block

that's what my V8 loving auto teacher used to tell me when I was still in high school

that was about 6 years ago...looks like he was wrong about imports...

point is: change and new things are great until proven not to be

well, since the stock sleeve of an H22 aren't as thick as say a B18, then you do have a chance at actually breaking a sleeve, if it works out for you, great, if not, then sux for you. i didn't re-sleeve b/c it is a requirement, b/c as some have pointed out there are way around it, but sure as hell didn't want to pull the motor for a 2nd time to do something i should have done the first time around
dont get me wrong bro...I'm gonna sleeve the block(I'm aiming for significant HP levels)....but if he wants to try the new pistons, then by all means go for it.

We wouldn't be here today if some guy in So. Cal didn't try to turbo his honda because they said it was impossible

I think resleeving is the best option in consideration of the feelings of a board member.

LOL! Geez. Relax.
