Default Troubleshooting Turbo Integra

So i just completely rebuilt an LS motor for turbo setup.
I am running into an issue where, car seems to choke when i rev up to 3000 rpms. (Not Tuned Yet)

I was wondering if that is common if you dont tune your car. (idles fine) (vaccum at -25 on idle.)

Just for fun, if i disconnect the intake, it seems to rev up all the way fine.

only chokes when i have the turbo on.

Any suggestions would help. I want to make sure i have all things covered before i tow car to get tuned. (1 hr away from me.)

Thanks

Problem is its not tuned....base map is not any guarantee that its that driveable through the rev range....

A good base map is only suppose to get you ever so far so you can get it on a dyno and even then its only as good as the info provided to the person who supplied it to you unless you burned it your self from the knowledge of the motors current setup.

book an appointment with a competent tuner asap...

edit: I missed the hondata part so there's no burning here.... anyway I'm sure you'll get it working but theirs alot as to why it might be off....i'd make sure the injector sizing and fuel pressure is setup per the map as you have it and depending on how that turbo spools could be the biggest reason it chokes because the base map is either too rich or god forbid too lean...

I'd enable the knock sensor if you have it hooked up even if it might pull timing on false knocks until you get it on a dyno
