Default tranny issues?

I busted my drivers sider axle at the track (2 stepped on my boosted GSR, and got nervous and dumpeed the clutch). I replaced it right there (a friend had a spare). Now, whenever the car is rolling, the whole front end of the car is hopping badly... it's directly proportional to the speed of the car (doesn't matter if you're turning, breaking, accelerating or just crusing). Its unbearable to drive... and anything over 20mph is rediculously scary.

The faster you get, the worse (more rapid) the hopping/bumping/thumping gets. Both axles are solid; there is no unusual play in the drivetrain anywhere. I just noticed that my drivers side ball joint on the upper control arm is bad. This allows the wheel to move if I grab it whjile its in the ear and jiggle it. Could this all be simply a bad ball joint? Or something else tranny related?

GSR tranny /w a quaife

are you sure the axle that you replaced it with is ok? That really sounds like an axle issue. Also i would really want to get that upper balljoint fixed, if you are using stock upper control arms and need a new one let me know i have a few laying around.

WEll, it seemed fine, but then again I didn't give it an in-depth inspection... I've got another one that I know is good, so I'll throw that on once I get the head back on tonight and try it out. Thanks for the offer FFgeoff; I think I found another control arm here locally.... my buddy is supposed to pick it up for me today. If not, then I'll definitely take you up on your offer

I really hope its not my tranny; I have a spare GSR lying around, but I don't want to have to lose my current tranny.

OT question: you don't need a reciept to exchange aquaife if it goes bad, right? I traded trannies and didn't get a reciept for the quaife in this one.

I bet it's an extremely worn inner joint.

Well, I busted one axle anr replaced it... I'm going to replace that replacement today to make sure that it isn't the issue. The car was fine before the track (I drove it there fine)
