Don't forget the Spoolin' Performance of both styles

http://www.spoolinperformance.com/st...products_id=58

http://www.spoolinperformance.com/st...products_id=60

But they use similar materials. As long as you're not using a turbocharger too large, you're fine.

Here's an example of the mini-ram A/C from Spoolin' with a GTX3576R turbo

The SLS is a very nice manifold and design for that price.

first pic manifold was ****, due to the wastegate placement. checkout go autoworks aswell.

Not true. The wastegate placement is fine. Just because it goes into an elbow doesn't mean it creates an issue.

Funny enough, this was an older Rev-Hard iron oxide tubular log that was coated on a GT35 journal bearing. It did anything from 357whp to 680whp on that manifold. No spike , no creep, no issues. And this was over 10 years ago on that manifold. Finally sold it to another B16 owner making over 350whp. No spike, no creep, and on a manual boost controller to boot. Still driving to this day.

This was Californiadad's first Spoolin' Performance manifold.

By your definition, this should have spiked and crept all over the place based upon its design. Didn't do it once, at over 545whp to 598whp with it. And that was on a Precision gate, which I wouldn't trust to work as a door stop.

I'm not trying to start any static. But I can say with confidence that these designs work better than people think outside of just the theoretical. Just because its not "teardrop" doesn't make it bad. The wastegate elbow being on one runner... THAT'S incorrect. But this, he's fine with that style if that's his choice.

For carlos8 goals, he'll be just fine with a good 38mm TiAL or Turbosmart with that style manifold.

^^ Can you explain the difference in wastegate placement Please!!!

I like the trackforged in how the turbo sit down not slightly forward.

Anyway I'm going with the SLS.

In short, there isn't that much of a difference except that the elbow is on a different manifold than the Spoolin' Performance. Its close to being centralized over the flange collector, but not quite like the Spoolin'. For something in the power area you're looking for its at least not on the #1 runner completely like most of the e-bay stuff. So, the Go-Autoworks, and the Spoolin' and even the previous Rev-hard example would have worked out the same for you. You'd be splitting hairs at that point.

SLS is good stuff for their manifolds, as long as they don't sit too low for your oil return.

I would recommend SLS as well I've run their shorty ram and loved it. They're good guys with a solid product. I honestly didnt know Nick was still making Honda manifolds...i thought he switched over to the Evo/Sti crowd. I'm out of the loop since i moved (used to be local to SLS)

I wasn't sure if he was either honestly. I hadn't called or been to his sight.

i would suggest the spoolin performance mini-ram like the shodam said.
