TPS sensor

Default TPS sensor

I am constantly getting a TPS code on my ecu...i have checked and double checked wiring..replaced the sensor .. and its still there..anyone have this happen to them? If so how did u get rid of it?

did you change anything right before you started getting the code? What did you replace the sensor with?

Well we basically had the whole engine out cause the pistons in the original block got fried. I replaced the sensor with one off of my 90 integra that never gave me problems. It seems like the TPS will never come on by itself always with the knock sensor.

I would bet that you have the wiring of the two somehow crossed, seems that they are affecting eachother.

No revolutions origonally did some of the work, but i had alot of stuff redone the block and i had a trusted mechanic do it, but mistakes couls have been made, any ideas, wires to check let me know.

You need a multi-meter. Check the TPS output voltage: @ idle ~.45v. You'll also want to slowly turn the TPS to make sure the output voltage sweeps smoothly.
