Default Toyota CT26?

I got a Toyota CT26 in pretty messed up condition, everything spins, it's just pretty rusty, and dirty with spider webs and such. What should I do to clean it? I was told to get it hot tanked, but I'm not really sure at all. Any recommendations?

Oh and, if it is possible, I could place this on a SOHC with proper modifications? Has anyone done this before?

Leave the useless lectures&flaming out please

Really? Hmm, well I was hoping to just use it for the kicks&giggles, looks like it just needs a good polish.

if that shaft doesn't have an enormous amount of play and the comp and turbine wheel isn't all chipped up and shot to hell and it spins freely. Then yes try it, I was going to go the same route you're thinking of going but I decided against it especially when I saw that the upgrade options for the stock turbo is the only was you can break the 300 mark

i build my friend a set up with that turbo. Its amazingly quick for a single slam. Last time we tracked it (with 6psi) he ran a 14.3 with a broken motor mount and street tires, full interior with an ej8. it is a little laggy but when it hits it hits hard.

While some other guys say the CT26 spools quick, it is actually the complete opposite. The CT26 is really old technology, and the turbo just lags and lags. No point if wasting your time trying to make it work.

If you put this in a Honda, you are better off putting a 57trim T3/T4. They spool about the same comparatively speaking, but the CT26 maxes out at 260 WHP or so.

I have a CT26 sitting in my garage now. I'll tell you...the turbine is MASSIVE for such a puss turbo. I have a guy who wanted it on his sohc ZC....I had to advise against it. That thing looks just like alot of people say....like it just lags and lags some more. Not to mention the oil feed and return, and coolant supply **** is weird. I'd pass on it if I were you.

depending if you have the MKIII supra CT26 or MKII mr2 CT26 they will differ slightly. if it is a twin scroll its from the mr2, and on the mr2 there is no lag at all. Turbine side of it is actually the restriction of the turbo. looks can be decieving.
