You're saying I can go to a local trucking company and get GT42R?
I'm loving the turbo

well, you can but it comes with a funky *** flange style. You'll have to get it from us for T4 flange. Sorry, no T3

Limited to a maximum 72mm turbo, where the maximum compressor housing inducer diameter is 72.78mm, measured at the point where the leading edge of the compressor wheel meets the housing.
Compressor wheel inducer diameter not to exceed this value, and contours of wheel must be “unstepped”; i.e., the contours must be continuous features from the inducer to the wheel exducer. All turbochargers must have a maximum turbine housing exducer diameter of 3.111 inches, measured at the point where the exducer edge of the turbine wheel meets the turbine housing.

According to NHRA SFWD rules: All turbochargers must have a maximum turbine housing exducer diameter of 3.111in (79.01mm), measured at the point where the exducer edge of the turbine wheel meets the turbine housing.

Isn't your turbine 82mm (3.22in) so it would be illegal for NHRA SFWD?

Can't get more efficent than Full-Race.
You can leave the smoothing on Zero with this manifold.

no, we're running the race downpipe, I have a smaller 4 " than goes down immediately after the turbo, to get away from the radiator hoses.

anyone got ideas on how to cool the turbo so it doesn't burn up my cf hood with a top mount?

Ceramic coating and or get a turbo wrap. It is a heat / flame resistant jacket for your snail.

I never understood why a lot of people always comment on heat issues concerning the hood with top mount manifolds. The manifold is just as, if not hotter, than the turbine housing. IMO people would be concerned about heat with the ram horn style manifolds over top mounts anyday.

I dont know, just my 2psi worth

My Autolab Topmount Manifold

I just went with a 3in downpipe, but there is room for a 4in.

but its my topmount with an air filter

Oh yeah, my tubular manifold i had previously created a heat spot on my CF hood, so far the new topmount hasn't done anything in terms of heat.

Here is my topmount. Combined w/ double back door IC I saved over 5 feet of intercooler piping. Custom topmount built by one of my good friends, turbo is a full-race t3/t67 .82 a/r. I see 25 psi @ 5300-5500 rpm w/ this setup and my 9:1 81.5mm motor.

I am really concerned with the heat issues of the top mounts! Sure they have a bit better top end power but your IAT’s must be really high??? Especially since none of you have coated manifolds and only jordo has that massive 4”DP wrapped. Anyone have any IAT comparisons to a ramhorn style…Jordo?

That filter is SOOOO junk! My sister had one and boy oh boy I never saw a filter fall apart so easily. Just an FYI. You might as well just run a screen! That’s right, it’s safer.... No REALLY, it is.
