top mount manifold with p/s (pics on page 2)
does any one have any pics of top mount manifolds with power steering still hooked up, in a 96-00 civic?

Re: top mount manifold with p/s (dornon13)
JG-Fab makes a p/s compatible top mount manifold. Don't know if there are any pics of it with p/s hooked up https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1488725

Re: top mount manifold with p/s (onefstek)
I did it with my manifold. First manifold I ever made and just moved the powersteering to where the a/c used to be, used factory brackets except for the lower bracket which I still need to make (no problem). It's not baller 100% tig welded or anything but it does what i want it to do and it was cheap...also alowed powersteering usage. Alltho This would probably work with any top-mount manifold just by moving the ps to where the a/c used to be. Have to change a few things, where the hoses go (factory hoses) and you will lose the mount that use to be where the a/c was (easily fixed with anopther mount or better engine mounts. Either way, here are some pics...
After the mani was done, I looked to see the extra pieces I had that I needed to get rid of or make work...hmm powersteering..
Re-routed the hoses to alow the use of the pump where I wanted it...
This gives an idea of how the pump is mounted...

That manifold is nice looking, but how are you gonna run the charge piping? Also that is a **** load of heat right by the radiator. Not bashing just a comment.

thanks
the charge piping uses a PeakBoost/Garrett dual pass intercooler, which will be available in the complete PeakBoost Ultimate system or seperate for the DIY guys.
and as far as the heat transfer to the radiator, the turbine is actually over 1" away from the Rad. which is much further than most non a/c topmount downpipes.
we do recommend HPC coatings always, but don't feel it will be a necessity.
in fact, our #3 runner on the PeakBoost ver.1 manifold generates more heat than a turbine housing(as measured on our laser temp gun) and is just as close to the Rad.
good questions for sure, and im ready to answer any others you may have

Re: top mount manifold with p/s (JG-Fab)
Not sure if it would help or not... but it would probably be pretty easy to make a heat shield for the turbine housing.

I hate those manifold and I cant see the utility of them compare to a full-race or a sst manifold ? + the position of the turbo is really high... it cant be good for the handling of a car if you are using a big turbo... But its just my toughts lol I prefer when the turbo is sitting lower.

this manifold allows ANY t3 flanged turbocharger and leaves over 1" clearance between the turbine housing and radiator.
the picture above is with a T3/TO4R(t67) and the largest (1.06a/r) turbine housing available.

thats your opinion, and we respect that. we've been offering the PeakBoost Ver.1 manifold for 4 years. which is a bottom mount, non a/c EL, 321ss, 4to1, lifetime warranty manifold.
PeakBoost Ver.1
this might be better suited to your liking
i would also like to add that a long runner manifold will increase VE and will help to reduce backpressure due to the greater volume runners.
as far as an 18lb turbocharger affecting the handling of a 2200-2600lb vehicle, i would say you might want to think that one thru a little further. thanks though
edit: also, if the standpoint is "higher COG", then you can negate that altogether, as the turbo is level with the head and placed at almost the centerline of the vehicle.
also, as stated above the #3 runner on the Ver.1 manifold is much closer to the Rad. than the Ultimate manifolds turbine housing.
we've seen much more heat radiate from the manifold runners than the turbine housing, as measured on our laser temp gun back to back.
hope this helps

how so?
does't that manifold put the runner up top and the turbo over the transmission with the upper rad. hose by the downpipe?
cody does good work, but in no way does this resemble any other turbo manifold we've ever seen for the B-series. i'll be honest, when you see this manifold out of the car, it really resembles an AN-R N/A header

+1 for peakboost - when i go shopping for a mani in a month you are definately on the top of my list
