Just for comparitive purposes, on 6psi with my GReddy on my 6G EX with stock Si 2" exahust, I raced an Si with i/h/e tuned camgear and little stuff and pulled cleanly away from him, over a car length by 3rd starting from 40mph in 2nd so.. your car IS faster, getting the most of it is up to you.

i think i know the prob w/ the cel light, i think when i wired the blue box that the instructions i got on line were wrong. they were for the integ model and i think i might have tapped a VTEC line and it's not kicking in. anyone use the blue box? if so how was it wired?

WHat car do you drive?
sorry.
if its an ex and your boosting the stock boost(which i assume you are) it wont be enough to beat a well driven Si with some basic mods.

When your CEL is on, your car automatically runs in closed loop. Which means (if you don't know) that your timing is retarded drastically. Before you do anything, fix that problem. My brother had that happen on his Si, and it only reved to 7K and bounced off of the rev limiter. If you don't know, the Si revs to 8K. Fix the CEL then go from there.

ecus, especially obd2 ones will run in many very different "safe modes" for different bad readings it gets from sensors. A check engine light does not neccessarily mean the ecu will disable vtec, or lower rev limit or drastically retarded timing, but those are all possibilities depending on what the ecu sees as going wrong.
