Hey, I'm a bit of a n00b when it comes to Hondas. I'm wondering is my car too old to turbo? Could it blow my engine?

I have a 1995 Honda Civic EX with 155,xxx miles. Too stressful on the car?

 

i had a 95 gsr with 110,000 miles on it so i put a drag 3 kit on it and ran it till about 170,000 miles with 8-9 psi of boost and sold the bodey and still have the motor and everything was fine i never had a problem with the motor just a bad input shaft bearing

 

I threw my turbo kit on my integra with 148000 miles on it before I finally rebuilt the entire motor.

 

I have 143k on my civic ex and after the 1st day of boosting I got a small leak in the headgasket(I'll know for sure when I pull the head but I'm 99% sure thats it) It was the original head gasket since the head has never been pulled. Other then that its been running awesome. While I do the headgasket I'll prolly change the timing belt and waterpump just incase.

 

aka NO it is never too old to turbo.

 

get the engine leakdown and compression tested.
