Default Too much turbo?

I am putting together a kit myself and I need to make up my mind on which turbo I am going to go with. At first I was going to go with a Garrett T3/To4e 50 trim with a .48 ar. Not too long ago though I talked to someone from cheapturbo.com and told him what my goals were(set up is going on a stock D series motor right now, but eventually i do plan on building and shooting for 300whp) and he said to go with a 57 trim with a .48 ar. He also explained that it would not spool that much later than the 50 trim(~ 100 RPMs he said) and he also said that it would make more HP per pound of boost. Which would you all recommend? and also about where can i expect to reach full boost with both of these turbos. Thanks for all the help.

the 50 trim would be fine to use and should spool a good amount faster than a 57 trim. You may even want to go w/ a smaller turbo than the 50 trim if all you want is 300whp
