Default Too Large of a Snail?

I have a built d16y8 with the trusty old vitara/eagle combo yielding a compression ratio of 8.6:1. I have a Garrett t3 with a .48 exhaust and .50 compressor. I have the chance to trade straight up for a Turbonetics t3/t4 with a ~.60 exhaust side (it's on a buddies rb20det and he's not sure what the a/r is on the hot side) and even bigger compressor side.

Would my D be able to spool the Turbonetics?

t3/t4 with .60? are you saying it a 60 trim, cause you say he does not know the exhaust housing a/r so? is all the information you have?

can you get more specs... cause it could be quite a few different turbo's from that description. most of which will probably spool on a d series, the question would be when though.

need more information... if the guy does not know what he bought (which is pretty dumb but whatever) then see if you can look at it and get all the information to you can figure out from looking at the housings, chra, serial plate, etc.

well.... to answer the exact question you asked, yes your D series will spool that turbo.

He's not 100% sure if it's .60 A/R for the exhaust side but that's what he thinks it is.

I tried looking at it but it's on the car and it was dark when I was looking.

I know my D will spool it but when? Roughly?
