TOGA Oil Pump?
I was wondering if anyone has any experiance with this oil pump?
There has been numerous failures with the 96-00 SOHC oil pump and I was wondering if this would resolve this issue.
Thanks

I've personally seen 96-00 crankshafts against D16Z6 cranks, and the diff is less hole chamfering on the Y7/Y8 cranks, and the Y7 cranks I've seen had their oil passages drilled odd - the journals were not crossdrilled, meaning oil was only being pushed onto one side of the bearing. I do know the Z6 crank I had balanced needed only 1 spot of material removed - it could be Honda got a little cheap and didn't balance the Y7/Y8's all that well, or I got a good crank.
I really don't think it is the oil pump to be honest. You can also mod the pump to remove restrictions and smooth the flow with a grinder and devcon epoxy to help with 7k+ rpm's.

Im runnin a TOGA HV fuel pump on my built turbod d16y7 and I have had no trouble with it..It is a pretty well machined oil pump and seemed to be of good quality!
How many miles on the engine and pump?
Good to know. I'm in the process of finding an engine builder. I have in my posession a Z6, Y7, and Y8 crank. I'll get some pics up.
