TO4B to big for a LS?
okay so I will get it, I want to make sure it's okay.
Once again it's a T04B not a T3/T4 turbo. Sorry for being sisy about it.heheh
When do you think I will have full boost? (7psi.)
Thanks

On your b20z? Or is that just your name? I have heard of people having problems braking w/ full t4's...like the pedal is just a rock sometimes and you gotta pump that ****.

I just took a look at it today, it's a straight T4, not the T3/T4 for sure.
The exhaust housing is 4 bolt but a round flange pattern. I don't know the specs. I am using it for a LS motor with stock bottom-end.
What do you guys think? Will it be good for a LS? I can buy it for 475.00 and it's brand new.
Thanks

going to a straight T4 is a mistake if you're only going to boost 7 psi. besides that... just knowing your turbo is a TO4B doesn't really tell you anything. there are many different trims of TO4B and some TO4B's (60-1) actually will out flow some TO4E's (which is also a really general term). In my opinion the only way to pick out a turbo ideally suited to you application is to talk with an expert (someone who does performance turbos for a living). Watch out because there's a lot of misinformation on the internet, and too many wanna be experts.
okay. well. there are all kinds of specs that define a turbo man. T04B is just talking about one part of many - the compressor housing. i havent studied the B18B's flow characteristics so i dont have any good advice. you could probly dig it up by searching.
I hear what you guys are saying, I really want to thank all you guys for the great imput.
Is anyone here making good power on a stock LS motor, without standalone FI?
Thanks

on my stock LS, i made 255 hp and 210 lbs of torque. that was with a vortech fmu, stock injectors, 3.00" custom exhaust, and extrude honed intake manifold if that helps any
boostedeg6: What disk are you using on the FMU? How many PSI are you running?
T04B is made by Garrett and it's very popular among the honda tuners, from what I understand. I am still learning too. HTH
Thanks

thanks. but, the consequence of running high fuel pressure to achieve that power wasn't worth it. i'm not sure what kind of condition my stock injectors were in but, about two days after that dyno run, i cracked my #4 injector and that **** leaked all over my manifold and everywhere else.
i was driving around feeling like i wanted to puke because of the gas smell. good thing nothing caused a spark.
