Default tips on buying a used JRSC

So how do I go about inspecting a JRSC?

These are my plans: (thanks DB8GSR..)

1)check outer appearance for cracks, etc..
2)check for shaft play in the JRSC
3)look inside for any crap

How can I make sure that the SC is in good working order?

Check all the rotors to make sure that none of the heat coating is pealing off the blades. Also, spin the pulley....listen and feel for any hangups with the rotation. Open and close the bypass valve to make sure that it isnt stuck. MAke sure that you have all the pulleys. Check to see if the blower has been opened at all. Indications might be different color sealant, or oozing out sealant.
