Timing the engine with a AEM EMS ?? how you do it ?
Ok I changed my cam and I want to set the idle timing. Usually with an OEM ECU I know how to do it but I dont know how to do it with the AEM EMS ?? I think you have to match the EMS timing with the engine one or somthing like this ??
If someone could help me I would appreciate.
Thank a lot !!!

yes you have to sync the timing on your ecu with the timing on the motor. Double check with a timing light
first you have to let the car run and reach operating temp.
then open up your ignation map and copy the values in vacume and set them to 16 degrees.
then click the configure box then ecu set-up and then set ignation
have someone check the actual timing with a timing light if it is off adjust through the ecu untin your tim,ing is synced

so basicly...
first : I set the timing to 16 degrees in the ECU.
second : I double check with the timing light on the crank pulley to be sure that I read 16 degrees
third : I never have to touch the distributor.
