I put the timing belt on and I was testing it with turning the crankshaft bolt without the pully. I can turn it a little counterclockwise ,then it gets tough. What is happening right there?? I do not want to force it cause I am scared.

Do you have spark plugs in? Its not just the compression of the motor is it?
