Default Time 4 Tune..

Finally it is time to see what the H22a4 turbocharged with Mhi 16g can do... not expecting much in terms of Hp but have high expectations of a FUN drive

Started out with a B20b swap in an ef Hatch...
Swapped out for a B17a
Sold ef Hatch on to eg Hatch
Started with another B20b
then turbo charged with T3/T4
Sold motor with turbo to fund H22a4 swap
currently running H22 with Mhi 16g intercooled

Motor and Turbo are stock and I hope to hit atleast 250 to the wheels

Here's the link to my Future tuning Sesh..

Thanks for Any Input... Just thought of Sharing.. I don't Post much

if you are boosting a stock h22 make sure your tunner know the engine is stock, also I think that the mhi 16g is too small for a h22. that turbo might not flow flow the cfm you need unless you increase the psi. increasing the psi might destroy your ringlands so dont go past 11 psi. get the air flow chart for that turbo and see where it makes the cfm you need. I got the cfm required for a h22 written down some where Ill look for it today. with the right turbo you can make desent power on a stock h22 I made 380 to the wheels on mine.

k so when the shop swapped in the F23 block i elected to upgrade the Mhi16g with a Big 16g to give me more room up top..

the internal wastegate is set at 8lbs and it holds untill about 5,000 rpms then it builds more boost...

I know the stock map sensor can handle around 11lbs from what the tuner told me and it scares me when the boost gauge goes past that.. especially when i hit vtec

can anyone explain or give me any ideas why?.. it hasn't sent an engine code and i don't wanna blow up

my afrs are pretty conservative and from what the tuner told me the timing hasn't been advanced.... Yet

when you hit the end of the map sensors ability to read it just uses the fuel and ignition values from the last column in the VE tables, upgrade the map sensor, and make the appropriate correction for which map sensor your using in your tuner program, and you can see how much further it is going and tune appropriately. If the car isnt freaking out when it hits that point i would assume its not going past it that much.

you need a larger wastegate valve that allows more exhaust gasses to bypass your turbo

i think i will start with a new tune then go from there.. the motor is lower compression and arp head studs were used to torque down the head.... right at wide open throttle the afrs are at 9 according to the LC1

.. I know the tuner made some adjustments before burning the chip to allow me to limp the H22 home after cracking a ringland

thanks for all your suggestions

Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey.... VCC makes my Day
