We've run it both ways and I would recommend using the Tilton hydro throwout bearing and master cylinder anyday... The pedal feels like an ACT HD pressure plate but it still grabs like a mother ******, haha It's still easily streetable without the hydro TO bearing, it's just got a heavier pedal which is a little stiffer than say an ACT Maxx Xtreme... for Tilton, that's all we use on our FI motors...

I have it and dont buy the entire kit from Tilton. They send you bolts that dont go through the fire wall and no lines for the bleed line. Now, they telll you to cut it and make a bleed line but unless you have a crimping machine to crimp the -3 lines on its very hard. I suggest you get the bearing and master cyliner then piece out your own fittings and making it yourself. I probably could have saved money if I went this route.

Yea you're right Art, it isn't the eaiest but I still like it... We have to fab a new conversion plate for the Tilton master cylinder every time we do this since the stock unit uses diagonally placed mounting bolts... As for the bleed line and shortening the main line I haven't ever had too much of a problem and that's using all the stock compression fittings... I wish we had a crimping machine, hehe Just my $0.02

The plate fit perfect. The only thing I had problems with is the lines and the hardware(bolts) they send you. Its all good now.

here is the kit if anyone wants to see it:

Oh WOW, damn Art... We've never gotten that master cylinder conversion plate with our kits... Must be new, haha... We did our first one like 6 months ago tho...
