Default TIAL WG and BOV discussion.

What Wastegate size should I go with??? My current engine setup is JE pistons and Eagle rods with welded in blockguard. I am planning on running aobut 7psi on the street and max of 24psi at the track. What would be the ideal wastegate to handle this type of performance requirements.

Also how are the Tial 50mm BOV. I have heard some good things aobut them, but I haven't seen an actual post that would discuss the pros and cons.

Thanks for all your help,

Rafal

Get yourself at least a 40mm wastegate and the tial bovs work great. Never had a complaint about them.

What turbocharger are you going to be using at 24lbs? I have heard nothing but good about the TiAL BOV.

nothing wrong with them. It is just better to have the 40mm when your running "high" boost.

LOL probably because they flow more.

More boost=more exhaust gasses=needs larger hole to flow thru.

Well in stead of being a smart a$$ go to Tial web page, technical section and READ!!! maybe than you will understand why I am asking that question.

As to the blockguard holding up. There is a guy on this board that is running 28psi on pistons and rods and nothing else so I think with proper tunning 24psi should be no problem. But I will try to minimize the boost to 20psi just in case .
