I read this about the Tial External Wastegate 35mm on importparts.com:
"...Boost adjustable up to 18psi with boost controller."

Does this mean that I can boost up to 18 pounds and no more?

Oh by the way I have a B18C1 with a Drag III turbo kit, Inline Pro lower compression head gasket, 440cc injectors, AFC, 255lph fuel pump, and I run the tial wastegate. Just waiting to get a clutch before I take it to the track.

 

your stock motor wont take anymore any way u look at it... and at 18 lbs with fuel management it may not last long... and i know someone running 20+ psi on the 35mm with no problem

 

oh yea... and i meant with pistons and rods

 

The Tial 35mm wastegate will boost past 18psi, but Tial can't gaurantee that it will be reliable after that point.

 

so what wastegate will handle boost past 18 psi? HKS racegate?

 

i have run 18psi with a tial 35mm with a spring of .45bar. I turned turn my apex boost controller way up.

Any 40mm wastegate will handle boost levels past 18psi.
