Just seeing what everyone thinks of the new Tial 38mm Vband WG MVS? Haven't seen anything on H-T bout them. Thoughts? Thumbs Up?

I am purchasing one, what everyone think about the smaller size easier for placement? etc.

man i want it. smaller, vband, no bolts, no gaskets. how much better can a 38mm wastegate get?

smaller. Vband no bolts no gaskets and the inlet flange is tapered for a very very smooth flow. we have them for sale in the sponsor forum

Sold a few of them already. Quality is on par with everything that Tial makes. They are so small and compact, it will really help with divided manifolds with twin gates and fitment.

Anyone done any testing on a divided manifold? Curious to see how well they control boost. I am going to be using the new Full-Race Divided Bottom mount but curious if anyone has used and TESTED them in a divided manifold. Thanks

Its a great product, anything from tial is top of the line.

We are toying with the idea of slapping these on a twin scroll manifold we are building.

I'm putting them on a divided manifold with s366, but my car won't be done for awhile so I wouldn't wait for test results from me, but just from looking at them it looks like they will flow a lot better than the previous 38mm.

I fixed that for you in an event that the Shodan pops up in here. Most people don't know the difference so it happens to be a common mistake.

In any event, these gates should perform just fine on a divided setup with a big turbo. I was just hoping to see some real results.

I've been told by someone that 44's on a divided manifold are over kill. This is coming from a Full-Race employee so I don't know if there is any truth to that. I don't have first hand experience with divided manifolds but usually when using a divided manifold and a big turbo controlling very low boost levels isn't necessary.

I am near positive that these twin 38's will work fine on my divided setup. These things are way better looking than the old models, plus I'm not really worried about my ability to control low boost levels. I doubt this car will see too much of those.

Was also going to say it really depends on how low of a boost level you are trying to control.

I have tuned several customers cars with s372 and 4294's that have used the older 38mm tial gates on their divided manifolds. I cant remember who made their manifolds anymore, but it worked just fine. With 10psi springs in each gate, the boost held 10psi till 10,000 on the dyno. The new 38mm's flow better, so there should be absolutely no issues.

Thats good to hear Jeff, I was thinking about going with two 38's for my new manifold and thats basically the info I was looking for. I'm spoiled with the boost control of a log manifold and dont wanna give that up when I go with something that can flow!

springs are less expensive too...you should be able to pick up new springs for about half the cost of the current larger springs

I think one benifit few people see are using the new 38mm in apps where the old 38mm is barely enough. By that, I mean the typical mounting that's perpendicular to the exhaust flow can now be angled or put closer (no extensions/elbows), so it captures the flow better. Even a 44mm can't save you if your manifold has **** for placement.

I do like the v-band, as the 2-bolt flanges just suck. For me its usually finding a way to attack the bolts, or getting them to stay put.

ive done several cars with the old 38mm gates that held boost just fine when using 2 of them as well.

i'd love to have 2 of the new 38's for my car but my manifold has the old 44 flanges on it
