Throttle Dropout when crusing? what going on?
Now that i think about it , i only remember this happening after i removed my missing link and FMU. So maybe its something to do with the MAP sensor?
so i got another throttle body, complete with sensors...
slapped it on.... and soo far no hesitation..... its all good
xenocron may have been right....
cause i replaced every other sensor on it except the tps....
and it was within spec....as far as voltage.... but i think it just had a dead spot in the sweep.... hard to diagnose....
but hopefully this helps someone...... cause im happy now.... cars runs good

weird...let us know if you do finally get it fixed

I swapped to uberdata, and still have this problem, though not near as frequent, and doesnt last long at all. I do notice though, if i start the car after a while of sitting, it runs like crap, doing the buck thing, for about 30 seconds, but then straitens out, and runs good. But, if i start the car again, shortly after letting it sit for a few minutes, it wont run like **** at all, but when i full throttle, it misses HARDCORE, and it wont run good up top unless its run like crap for a second. Weird as hell, i think i just need to get tuned.
ya it happens to me too , i cant like cruise in a parking lot in first cause if i hold the gas steady the car will hop and jerk , and it makes me look like a ******* idiot.
Just to throw a wrench in things, it has nothing to do with being turbocharged because my car did it to me last year when it was a bone stock b16 (i did squeeze on it but it did not occur while at full throttle) I had a chipped ecu so i dont know if that would contribute but it only happened sometimes and not all the time.
I still think it has to do with the map sensor, because when i used a missing link with the VAFC its didnt buck but as soon as i dropped it it started . I doubt s2000 do the same thing tho

I have an s2k and they do... its a known fact that sitting in traffic, during a hot summer day and cruising in 1st gear is a no no... the car will make you look like your just learning to drive a stick. I have not seen a clear cut answer to the s2k's problem either though... some say do the "map wack"... some say heat soak... some say "throttle tip-in".

Hey gusy im running hondata and i have the exact same prob at 7% throtle the car shuts down no spark or fuel it feels like the car got shut off and untill i give it a bit more gas it starts back up.
I checked my TPS its fine it happens when im in a parking lot or on the highway its realy ****** PISSING me off like to the point were if its not fixed im going to sell the car. If its happening to people without hondata its not hondata what can it be.

im about at your point too....
but i wont sell mine, ill light it on fire
seriously something has to be up.....stock cars, hondata, no hondata, vfac everyones getting it...... it has to be a sensor freaking out......but only freaking out alittle cause it wont code(stock ecu)

im lucky enough where it doesnt happen when im on the freeway when cruising. but it does happen when i try to hold an rpm above 3k in 1st 2nd 3rd or 4th.
I've dealt with it somewhat by a) richening the light-throttle maps, b) advancing the TPS to *almost* past spec and that's helped a lot. Mainly the map tuning, in particular the fueling at high vacuum is what I feel is causing it in my case. I don't know about you guys though, but maybe that helps. The thing that helped most for me was really adjusting fueling. It doesn't bother me that much; I only get it during rush-hour traffic and only when coasting at like 10km/h with my foot barely on the gas so I haven't really worked that hard on fixing it.
Hey guys did some datalogging with my hondata turns out my TPS was at minus 6% so i set it to 0% and so far no bucking and its a bit faster spins alot more threw 2nd now
