Nope, I've seen it on a civic before. Going with a larger diameter than the charge piping does not yeild anymore power.

So with charge piping on 2.5" diameter, you don't need to go any larger than a 65mm throttle body. Going larger wont be of any power gain, unless you increase the charge pipe diameter.

the scale is different... for each voltage the ecu reads, the throttle % is different

looks like more people think i should keep it stock then to get a 65mm TB. so I guess I will listen to the majority.

Ok then 60mm TB on my B18c motor lol. I guess I will just upgrade that later on when I get bigger turbo piping and IM.

basically i don't see the advantage of having a TB bigger than your max(charge pipe, IM inlet)... that is, if you have a 2.5" charge pipe (63.5mm) and a 65mm IM inlet, i wouldn't go any bigger than 65mm... i guess the optimal for this case would be to have a 62mm TB that tapers to 65mm on the IM side.

but that's just what i think...

see that is the thing though I am worried about is that does it match up to the JG IM 65mm inlet? I mean if it don't wouldnt that cause a problem or am I just worrying over nothing?

i bought a 70mm bbk integra throttle body just like an hour ago lol...got a good deal on ebay for 220 shipped NEW ...but anywho....im going to be using it on my jg manifold and will take it to a machine shop to port match it with the tb....

if u happen to get a throttle body bigger then your intake mani...dont worry...just take it to a machine shop and port match it...

i am worried about matching up my turbo piping to my IM inlet with the TB. Some say leave it stock, but when stock is 60mm and IM is 65mm and turbo piping is 63.5mm what do u do?

well you could either do a couple of things....

1.) Leave it the way it is...many people have proven lots of hp with that setup...

2.) Send your tb off to be bored out to 65...some guy on here does it...cant recall who..

3.) Buy a new 65mm tb (bbk or elderbrock is my choice)

4.) Upgrade to 70mm, 3 inch piping, and port match mani...which will cost you the most money...

up to you though...other people will upgrade, others will not...just whatever floats ur boat...

im not sure..but i would say it should make more noticable hp power vs to having the stock setup...

one would think that way though right?
