From reading some of the post, a 70mm is good for boost. Let me know what you guys are using?

Bump......I also would like to know what everyone uses as far as a throttle body.....and if you guys taper your manifolds to match big TB's?

use your boost, not your wallet.

a TB will cost like 2-500 bucks. turning up the boost 1 psi will see you about the same gain... for free.

if you can...just ****** up a ITR throttle body. i think it's a few mm wider than a regular teg's.

You'll probably be able to find an aftermarket tb for just as much as a used ITR tb.

i use STR 70mm with a JG victorX mani.

While larger throttle bodies offer a gain in boost (5-10whp), they wont offer gains off boost (vacuum condition) if you engine is not capable of injesting the amount of airflow from the throttle body. This is directly related to the displacement of the engine you are using the throttle body on. 1.6~1.8L would benefit from 62mm~64mm throttle body. 1.8~2.0L would benefit from 66~68mm size. You can lose partial throttle drivability and only gain a modest amount of horsepower for the cost of an aftermarket unit. Stock 60mm are sufficient for 500+whp.
