Default Thoughts on Valvoline VR1 20w50

A couple of big name local racers/engine builders swear by it. Just curious if any of you have used it and with what clearances. I've always been a Mobil1 guy but, I'm down for a change. Any thought/comments welcome as well. Thanks.
