Default Thoughts on A/r's for gt3076R

Hey guys i am debating between .82 ar or finding more about the 1.06 ar housing for the gt3076R. After searching i can't find much information in regards to the 1.06 housing. I personally do not like the torque plateau seen in most .82 Ar results. Just wondering if anyone has any experience of thoughts on the 1.06 AR housing. Still looking to be in the 72% efficiency island even with discharge temperature increased.

This is a street car with track use.

Please give me an engine setup, and I can help determine the best housing. Please include bore, stroke, max rpm, and any headwork.

I have actually been plotting on the s258 and s362 Bw compressor maps and it may be option consdiering there compressor effiency is higher then the gt3076r. I want to reach about 500+whp at roughly 400-450ft.lbs on pump gas. I am really just looking for insight on the gt3076R 1.06 ar housing.

umm yeah have fun with that on a mid size turbo and less than 97 octane gas.

i would say you need to look at a s366 or s372 if you want to stay on 93 octane. it sounds like you picking a big a/r housing because you think it will allow you to go further on pump gas, it may or it may not, but you are killing your spool.

whats your plans for the car ? drag only, DD, street only, street/some drag

^^ Good way to introduce this information needed... I'll give ya for that haus.

But seriously, those questions need to be answered. As Tony413 stated, Using a 1.06 A/R will not give the larger amounts of power to push as you may think.

S362 in the .70A/R (don't be fooled by the A/R number) will do wonders over that GT3076R with the 1.06. The .70A/R can hold a much larger turbine WHEEL that will help in your quest much more easily.
