How do you keep your winshield from fogging when it's at night and raining? The only time I use a/c is when it rains(it's so humid) and it doesn't rain much here so I'm thinking about ditching it... However, at night when it's raining my window will fog up. even defrost setting won't clear it up. a/c clears it right up though. what do you do? Is there an anti fog product that can be used? Thanks

Nate

Ever hear of that Rain X stuff???

I heard that of you put it in the INSIDE of your windsheild, it really protects from getting foggy so you don't need that defroster.

Jsut what I heard. haven't tried it yet.

A couple years ago I bought some defogging spray from the US. I'll try to locate the bottle. I have the Integra OEM window rain guards so I just crack both windows while cruisin'

I was wondering how Rain X might work. Thanks.

Window rain guards would also be an option... Hmmm.

I never hardly use a/c but yet I'm trying to somewhat keep it

I might be mistaken but i think rain x makes an fog x treatment. I remember seeing it in a black bottle not yellow but it was for the inside of the windshield.

Thanx mang! Eventhough it's not what I used before I think I'll give it a try. The new beater will have AC for 2 more weeks.

That's also why I prefer to keep a/c. Its the fastest & safest way of defogging the windshield. I don't run a/c unless the windshield fogs up or if theres a girl inside to heat things up Girls like a/c.

There are other alternatives, but anything you put on the inside of the windshield will leave residue (gooey film) and will attract dust.

What do circuit racers use? They still race on a wet track, and they don't have a/c.

They're bound to get spray from other car. They need the best visibility possible to see ahead.
Last week at Limerock, there were several cars that retired less than 10 laps into their race due to windshield fogging, and they still used anti-fog.

You have to find the right formula. Try to find the right amount of laundry detergent or dish washing soap. Secrets revealed
Edit: dont waste your $$ on off the shelf products.

I let my heater blow at it. It does the job.
Just make sure it's @ the opposite temperature of what it is outside.

Cool Outside = Heat Inside.

Usually heat always does the trick.

i also think it has alot to do with the weatherstriping i.e. how old it is maybe its a little worn and lets moisture in

I havent had A/C for 4 years now and well I try desperatly not to drive my Acura during the rain. Honestly though that rain x stuff doesn't really work that well i dont think. i tried it a couple years ago but maybe it is better now.

And yes use the opposite temp that is outside.

I like to get girls hot in the car. Why cool them down........... is better

I had to remove my a/c when I installed my turbo, and when it rains I just turn up the heat and direct it toward the winshield through the front defroster... As long as the temp. inside the car is all the same, the window shouldn't fog... The only reason it fog's is because inside is colder than outside or vice versa...
