For those considering Vortech superchargers...
Vortech has not stood by there product for me two times... has anybody gotten any work on their Vortech that was covered under warranty.
I originally bought the kit from Summit about three maybe four years ago. I had it on my car with no problems for almost two years. Then it started rattling noise in the blower at idle. I called vortech up and they said to send it in. I asked them about the warranty and they said it expired. But I told them that I filled out some card that came with it and it said it would have a three warranty if I filled it out.
They said they never received it, but I know I mailed it. Because it said it would also give me $100 back. I never got the $100, but after a few months I forgot about it and didn’t fell like making a big deal out of it. The guy said, go ahead and send it in then they will call me and work something out. So I did they called, said they no longer make this style and they had a different better design and that they would replace the blower and the entire shaft and give me $500 off. So I did that but found out it still ended up costing me about $1000. I asked them about that warranty and he told me it would come with a 1year warranty.
After a few weeks I got it and it was mostly the same blower housing, looks like the replaced the part were the shaft connects to. But for one grand I thought they would have gave me a new one. But as long as it worked I didn't care. At the time I had the head off and rebuilding it. So I did not get to try this out till I think around Jan of this year. I installed it and took it to get it tuned in Feb. I put less than 4K miles on the car before the blower screwed up. The shaft worked loose and it banged the spindle on the sides of the blower. I took the belt off, and drove home.. When I got home I took the blower off and there were metal shavings all inside the after cooler. I called Vortech up and the tech said it still had a warranty on it so I shipped it to them. Yesterday they called and said that it would not be covered under warranty. They guy did not sound too sure why it was damaged. He said that it looks like something black was sucked into the blower or the bypass valve malfunctioned and caused the blower to surge. I told him I had less then 6K miles on it (later I realized it was much less), I always had a filter on it. Then he asked me if the shaft looked bent. I told him it doesn’t look like it is but its very difficult to tell by eye. I asked him if its going to be covered under warranty and he said it was not and that the whole blower needs to be replaced.
I cant believe after spending $5500 on these guys they will not cover something that should be covered under warrenty.
I think they did not rebuild it properly. When I was getting it tuned, we were struggling to get to 9psi with the smaller blower pulley.
For those that read all of this... THANKS!! I just looked up, I wrote a crap load, but its good to vent.
For those considering Vortech, I would strongly advise not to.

Sorry to hear that.
Ask to speak to someone higher, and don't be afraid to make stink over the phone, using such phrases as 'I will contact better business bureau' and 'I will stop credit card payments' (if applicable)
If you used a platinum credit card to purchase the item, and still have the statement, you can start a claim through them. Tell Vortech this is what you plan to do. Don't be rude, but be firm. You have been cheated out of your rightfull warantee. DEMAND WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY YOURS. You have all the rights.
Make sure you have the statement with a date on it, and the warrantee information from Vortech in writing.
Don't forget to mention how much money this has cost you, and imbellish a little, adding car rental costs to the equation, and mechanic's fees if neccessary.
From my experience in the service field (7 years), the bigger the dick you are, the more the company will do for you.

From the quotes above, it sounds like you are a nice guy and an understanding customer.
Unfortunately, those two excellent qualities will get you nowhere with many businesses today.
Get them to fix the blower, sell it, and buy a turbo.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck.
