Default Those with cometic head gasket?

How thick are y'all going with these gasket? This is my set up
Golden Eagle 84mm, JE pistons 9:1
How thick would I go? I goal is around 400 whp-450 whp. I know the stock head gasket is .032

AND I think the stock head gasket is .029. What size gaskey you choose is totally dependent on what compression you want to run. Cometic makes: 0.036, 0.043, 0.057 (price jump), 0.098 and 0.112. Play with that calc until you get the compression ratio you want.

Need much more info. Which block, which head, anything milled etc., stock stroke?

the piston dome displacement should be on the spec sheet you got from JE. with those pistons and the smallest cometic gasket, your comp. ratio will be in the high 8s.

b16 head open combustion chamber to match 84mm bore
over size valves 0.5mm
Yes stock stroke

Stock thickness to .040 will be great. Cometics work.

the .036 will put you right under 9.0:1, and the .043 will put you right under that. The fact that you are changing the cumbustion chamer lowers your comp a little right off the bat. If you find out your piston dome displacement you can find out exactly what you will be running. If I were you I would go with the 0.036.
