Default thinner head gasket to bump compression?

im looking for a thinner head gasket to bump my compression from 9:1 to 9.5:!
or is it preferable to keep my oem head gasket and buy some new piston

Pistons are the proper way to do it, but a thinner headgasket will work. The mugen headgasket drops the compression by .4 and its paper thin. I'd be worried of sealing issues.
