THinking about selling home made turbo kit. Opinions?
ok well if this is in the wrong forum then im sorry.
I have a 99 civic DX hatch
anywho this is a list of what i have and how much i bought it for...
No Play garrett T3 .42/.48 w/internal wastegate and actuator from eBay $230
Brand new Apexi blow off valve from ebay $50
BMC race ac compatible log manifold for a D-series $250
p05 uberdata chipped ECU from ebay $50
Moates BURN1 w/extra chip and ZIF socket $90
OBD2B to OBD1 harness from ebay $80
89' toyota supra intercooler from some guy $14
a bunch of misc. fittings jackkkked from home depo $0
Grand total that i about paid give or take a couple dollars $764
the other day i was stopped by a highway patrol and his excuse for pulling me over was that i had no front plate. I had hacked it up for a short lived attempt to have a euro style plate. SO i told the cop that someone stole it. Anyways, he told me to pop my hood. Lucky me that i had replaced my intake back with the stock airbox.
so yea, im kinda iffy now about getting my hood popped with a turbo in it. I live in fresno cali, and cops are crackin down HARD on hondas. Since these mexican fools hit and killed some old lady while street racing. **** i don't even know why the old lady was there. They were out in the farm land part of town in the middle of the night. Anyways. Cops crackin hard. Cars gettin towed for mods. Fewer fix it tickets.
I just put in some foglights so i think there might be some problems with the intercooler pipings. So now im having second thoughts about a turbo D16y7. Im thinking about maybe selling the stuff and going B18 and taking it to be refereed. Anyways, anyone have any opinions on which direction to go? im stumped.
Oh yea, and if i should sell my kit, how much do you thing i should sell it for?

Turbos are a big hassle i know cause i spent my whole summer just fixing and upgrading problems after installation. I live in Fresno too and pigs here are bitches they pull you over for anything. The pig had no right to pop your hood there was no reason to. here read this: http://fresnoracing.ipbhost.co...68&hl= I think you should just keep your turbo and just go with a sleeper look inside the hood. I saw a kit that looked just like stock somewhere on fresnoracing.net you should check it out.
