Its true no honda is safe! My car was almost stolen from my private driveway...Thieves got ***** the dont care where ur car is? Theyll take it. Luckily my bro saw the motion lights turn on in our driveway, so me n my bros beat the **** out of these thieves infront of our house. So if you dont have a garage ur a target.

Look first of mitsuman I can understand what you and everyone is saying but when you look at the car it's not much to look at I mean it has missmatched body panels the paint is extremely faded it looks like nothing nd I have had it sitting out for quite some time, you all can run your mouths about how stupid it was but hey I live In Norfolk Virginia modified cars are far and few between here. By the way I am a mechanic by trade so I was working on my car on the side when I have time, I don't have a garage I rent an apartment so trust me. I wasn't trying to act like a douche and throw my car out there on a thieves market, and truth be told it doesn't matter how hard you lock it up and or store it safely if someone wants to steal your **** then it's gone. All I am really trying to do here is post up how nice it was they were caught in the act and that although my stuff got ripped apart and torn to pieces it's not that bad and I was also looking at what course of action other people have taken in the future when they were in my situation. And Yes Mitsuman I read your story about how your car was taken, my only question is how did the thieves get thier hands on your car. by the way sorry if some you don't detect the hint of sarcasm in my typing

A lot of times around here they don't steal the car, they just steal parts right off of it. So I can totally see this happening.

well basicly when my car got stolen the guy was caught driving it and he was arrested. I didnt have to do anything. It was out of my hands, the judge sentaced him to 6 months in jail. so i cant collect restitution until he gets out and goes through all this ****. he gets out october so i wont see anything until late this year.

i guess i left my dor unlocked that night, ya my stupid asssssss

Hey mitsu in all honesty I'm not trying to be a butthurt a-hole but it was messed up and sorry if I seemed like an a-hole to you as for hondacivic00 I love the whole 150 survellance system idea I am definately getting one I don't care what my land lord says about it in my complex and the whole take your ecu idea I only drove the car 2 times a week at most so this is definately a viable option

Yeah you'll take him to court, you will win. He will court ordered to pay you, he won't and they will slap a judgement on him. He will have bad credit and you won't see a dime still

same thign happened to me my R1 got stolen about 3 years ago they found it in a guys apartment and ran the tags it was stolen the guy said he was workong on it for a firend on the side ... they let the guy go towed my bike i was workign offshore so i had to pay towing fee & 4 days storage on it just to get it back and the damage wasent enoguht to cover my 1000$ duductable.. GAY

well 3 years later noone has served a ngiht in jail for this.. its bullshit.. thieves have the upper hand when it comes to the law

if u try to sue or whatnot u prob weont get much all his stuff is prob in his mom s name or .. is changin to his moms name real soon.. sucks the way law works.. i vote for cutting peoples hands off who steal like in the old days !!

 

Theives Getting caught Why get these thugs just hustle instead of stealing Or better yet get some jobs I just hate how these theives go to court and then get let off, I've seen it happen many times. Definately a little more heartwarming then my old story:

Get to bed after finishing my 4th job to my apartment in the back of a head shop at 4:45AM.

Fall asleep at 5:00, get woken up at 5:30 to cops beating on the back door; open it in a sleep stooper to have them mutter something and I heard the word civic.

Walked outside to see my car doors wide open, everything that was inside scattered all over around my car, a door panel ripped in 1/2, a dash cut wide open to get the deck (that just pulled out by pulling lightly on the face when down to insert a CD), my FIELD SFC VTEC controller ripped off the dash, the wire pulled through the dash (carpet pulled up from it as well) and 3 wires pulled from the ECU harness, and 4 more broken in the Ecu harness itself; 3 missing cell phones, 1 missing GPS, 3 missing 50 disc cd cases, 2 music, 1 software, 1 missing laptop, 1 missing _glove box_ (the whole thing).

Now; They in their idiocy, found a keyring with a bunch of defunkt keys on it, tried to start the car and broke the key off into the ignition, broke the locked trunk release handle, broke out the lock in the rear panel for the back seat only to find it disconnected, fucked up the external trunk lock, and ripped out a speaker to unlock the back seat, but I pulled the red handle off of it so it couldn't be opened.

They found 15 prints; never told me if they knew whose they were; I got shafted by insurance cause I couldn't "PROVE" these items were in the car; though obvious signs of them missing were aparent, and got $2,100 in cash to fix the steering column, dash, doorpanel, etc.

I lost out over $6,000, and the best part was: they did not pop the hood; they didn't get at a 3,000 set of jewlry for my GF in the trunk, didn't get the 400 disc DVD collection in my trunk, and didn't get the Kicker ZR1000 and 2x solo L7's.


The shop owner from next door drove up to his back door to see 2 guys at my car, he is a kickboxer by profession he walked towards them, and they took off on bicycles with duffelbags.

Glad to hear your guys got caught, I would castrate them with their own teeth if I caught them....
