Default Thermostat and Radiator Cap

Adding an Aftermarket Radiator cap help? Someone told me that you can remove the thermostat and improve cooling system?

yes removing the thermostat will give you more power sometimes, BUT you sacrifice longevity of the motor.. because your cylinder walls do not heat up as much, which means they are not expanding to proper spec. but your pistons do heat up (expand) and your piston to wall clearance is half the size of a hair.... no good at any thousand rpm.

Do NOT remove the thermostat! Gut it out instead so the water doesnb't flow too fast. If the water flows thru the radiator too fast it will not cool down and you will start melting parts. Clip off the spring holder and then remove the spring and valve. Do not open up the thermostat hole more than the stock size.
