ThePartsBin and O2 for the techedge kit
So I go to thepartsbin.com and do a search for C5010-75044, it comes up with two results. The strange thing is they are of different part number and one's Denso at $152, the other is Bosch at $299. C5010-75044 actually is for the Bosch. Is the Denso one going to work?
thanks!

You need to give them a call and let them know you are looking for a five wire, L1H1 O2 sensor. Don't rely on their website, just speak with them directly.

I went to the NAPA site and ordered mine. No problems.

Yea, I did. But it was last year, around august? I remember Techedge saying they were getting harder to come by... I think mine took a week or two to come in.
Of course they had no idea so many people would be buying them for wideband systems... they were originally for the VX(?) civic as a replacement part.
You could always try a Honda dealer too... like BC Imports or Hasport. I don't know if they'd have it though...

I am coming in on the tail end of this.. Will this sensor act as a wideband? Also, what kind of voltage output does it have .. I mean, whats the range from 9 to 18?
How would you adapt the connector to your car?
Thanks
Chris

you need the o2 sensor and the wideband unit to logically deduce the data coming in from the sensor. then all this will translate into a voltage which is displayed. On stand alone systems like Aem Ems, you can display the afr correctly only if you calibrate your sensor correctly. Sensor alone wont be a wideband unit. you need the brainbox to come along with it

Where do you get the brain box for this sensor then?
I am currently running the Motec PLM with the EMS system, but this was a striaght forward setup. I am looking for a cheaper setup for a friend of mine..
Thanks!

Ahh, don't be bummed guys, it's the coolest thing, and they can barely make them fast enough (think of all the other FI cars). Peter is good to his word....
BEFORE you get it, try to find an old burt up O2 sensor so you can cut the plug off and use it, that way, you won't be, uh, tempted, to use your exisitng fully functional o2 sensor as a sacrifice...
Oh yea, and be sure to wire the O2/box power DIRECTLY to the battery. I used those spring clips from Radio shack. They work good. And while you're there, pick up the 9-pin connector thing for the RS232 port on the box, a pack of 500 Ohm 1/8 watt resistor (small one), and some shielded wire.
I had problems with the unit going on and off when I used the lighter outlet, I think the contact is not as good- the O2 sensor needs some jusce to keep it hot.
Oh and remeber to disconnect it when you turn the car off. I drained two batteries completely dead forgetting to leave it on. Sears won't honor my lifetime gaurentee anymore.

when you guys get the TechEdge kit, do you get the 2.6m or 4m cable? What do the prices convert to in US dollars?
