got a little extra kit of boost on my car last night by replacing the stock cat with a 3" test pipe...i don't have any track time with the car but i have raced my friends NOS'd 92 GSR and at first my car boosting only 3-4psi he was beating my by about a car to a car and a half...now with the test pipe in place he pulls away until i get into boost (which is about 4.5-5psi now) and then i catch him and pass him pretty easy...this is all from a roll on which my car with the LS tranny was at a disadvantage at the speed we started at since i wasn't in VTEC AND out of boost at the start....his car runs a 14.3@97 and by the way i beat him i suspect 13s will be had at only 5psi!!! now the car feels (and sounds) like a TURBO!!! my boost controller from importparts.com should be in today which im gonna prolly set at around 7-8psi...later.

wait if you are an LS you dont have VTEC.....unless i read it wrong?

 

no i have a 92 integra GS-R with the B17 1.7L VTEC in 92-93 integra GS-R's in the u.s. market only...it has VTEC which i have set to switch @5200 RPM's (5800 is standard)...my friend also has the same car but his is a 93...i think you read it wrong, i have a LS transmission on a GS-R motor...later.
