Test pipe or high flow cat for turbo?
Which one would be better, mind you this is a daily driver. I'm thinking high-flow cat, but a test pipe is usually cheaper and provides more power. But if I get a test pipe, don't I need a secondary 02 simulator or something like that? What does it cost? What high-flow cats do you guys recommend? Let me know, thanks.

I ran a straight pipe, and yeah, if I were you I would get something to emulate that ******* O2 so it doesn't fool the stupid ECU. GOD that was annoying...

I'm no tree hugger, but get a high-flow cat and be good to the environment, especially since it's a daily driver. I'd recommend A Carsound cat, they outflow most cats on the market.
I sell them pretty cheap too.

Anyway, I never had any problems with it, it was quiet as hell...

I have a straight pipe right now & in CA, but I'd strongly recommend a cat. Just the smell alone is enough to drive me nuts!

i'd go with the 3" Carsound cat, though you'll sacrifice some power potential.
i'm using the 2.5" Carsound cat on my N/A+N2O setup now and have the 3" Carsound cat waiting to go on for my future turbo setup. they work great for the $$.
i'm no tree hugger but i do care for the enviroment.

Re: Test pipe or high flow cat for turbo? (sweet)
i have an LS with a 2.5" straight pipe and a 2.5" catback... can't smell anything, just smells liek burnt gas/exhaust... no different than any other exhaust. I didn't notice a gain or decrese in horsepower, but then again i am still N/A.

I am running a 3in Carsound cat. I couldn't take the exhaust smell everytime I got out of my car.
