I've heard several different things on this subject. One is if you run high boost (I'm guessing 9lbs. or more) the inake temps will get high enough to cook the coating off of the rotors. Is this true? I called J.R. & they said it's safe to 900 dgrees F. I could understand this if some foreign object such as a small debri, sand etc. entered the intake. But, I know several people that have installed used chargers with the caoting chipped off but they seem to have no other problems no matter what boost level they are running. So whats the big hype about this teflon? N E 1?

I had all the teflon removed when my jrsc was rebuilt. I ain't cooking eggs on it so why have it. How may other engine parts have teflon coating....zero. So, that leads me to believe it is a gimmick.

...900º seems scarey hot for intake temps...like there's no way you wouldn't be detonating hundreds of degrees before that.
