Default Technical BOV question

Hi,

i read many many post and everyone swear about other BOVs...
the main reson for a bov is clear and normaly every bov does the same thing: releasing air if the throttle body is closed to prevent damage to the turbo...

BUT!:

why do some bov cost 400$ and some others only 100$ or you can get a bosch for 30$

so where is the difference? and only technical discussions please ... and only things you REALY know of... not hearing from a firends firend and so on...

Greets
Malte.

CNC machining costs, aluminum costs, clamp costs, flange costs, any fittings costs, any o-rings costs, labor costs, anodizing costs, etc. It all starts adding up. I prefer TiAL blowoff valves over most other blowoff valves.

size of the valve has a lot to do with the cost, but then you have different designs for the way that they actuate...valve, rotory, gated, etc.

its like comparing a Ferrari to a Yugo.... they both get you there.... but you have better components in the F car.

I dont believe "loudness" has anything to do with the cost as tgreaves stated.
