techedge question???

Default techedge question???

i have one and it has 2 plugs coming off the display. one plugs into the control box and the other doesnt go to anything. it looks the same as the one that goes into the display, is it for dataloging??? if so how do i do it???

If you have the version 2A0 and LD01 display then you should have 2 cables supplied. The long one goes from the LD01 to the WB (serial to RJ45). The short one goes from the WB into the serial port on your laptop. Thw WB only has one RJ45 port so you can only run only one at a time, either your LD01 or laptop for datalogging. I just hook the WB to laptop when I tune and datalog, once its done I hook back up the WB to the display

Its actually free. You only pay $20 if you want to use the built in 'Autologging' and 'Alarms' features. You can datalog perfectly without these features. They are just nice to haves.

it used to be free... they started charging for it now. or i just paid $20 for nothing.

if you have two plugs coming off of the display, then you have an older model. are you using 1.0 or 1.5? if you're using 1.5, you should be able to make a cable that would go from the DB9 connector on the controller to your laptop to log.
