Tech question for all ya...
I have a b17a block and a b18c crank. Is the deck height of the b17a the same as the b18c? I would love to throw the gsr crank in the block and have a 1.8 before sleeving, etc. Would i be able to then just use the stock gsr rod length, or have to go custom? I know someone has to have done this on here, or know. If this works i have a 50,000 mile b17a crank for sale.
Thanks, Jeff

If I am not mistaken, the length between the main crank to the edge of the rod journal on the B18C1 is the shortest out of all of the Bseries crank and the block height is the same on all B series block...
so to answer your question, IMO ( and I may be wrong) yes you can use a stock GS-R rods...
now, if you have any B series block and you wanna use a B17 or B18B crank ( to get more displacement since it has more rod to stroke ratio ), you'll need a custom length rods, since the LS rods are too long on a GS-R and the GS-R rods is shorter than other rods of the B series family...
am I making sense or am I talking out of my ***....
