Default TD04-specs

I got my hands on a free TD04L-12T of an Volvo T5 (220bhp 2.5l)

now i was not supposed to go turbo, nitrous was my choice, but when given a free turbo why not have a little fun first

now i'm wondering what specs it has.

according to this info i have an A/R of ((35*35)*PI)/50= A/R 77 and

an compressor trim of (36*36/44*44)x100 = 67 trim and

an turbine trim of (44*44/50*50)x100 = 77 trim

these numbers seem a little odd to me

these are the specs i measured
inducer compressor: 36mm diameter
exducer compressor: 44mm diameter
inducer turbine: 50mm diameter
exducer turbine: 44mm diameter
inlet turbine: 70mm diameter

please correct me if i'm totally of, i'm new to FI.

here are some pics

I don't think any of the T5s came with 12Ts

What year/model Volvo?

just getting a free turbo might not be the best reason to get your car boosted. Your going to be spending $1000+ if you piece together everything else you need to run the car successfully

why is that?
200 euro for ecu (chipping, moates ostrich and crome)
100-200 ebay intercooler
100 intercooler piping
100 exhaust piping
200 for misc, oil lines, injectors(lude ones) and other lines such as vacuumlines

the wideband is something i already have and need for my future K-build
the 3inch exhaust (i'm going to run front side exit first for a while)i'm gonna need for my K too
the fuelpump (not nessecary for my goal of 200whp) is needed too for the K
gauges are included in my wideband display

so i will be going 800-1000 out of my way towards my K, sell the kit for probably 1000+ euro and gain a lot of exp
i said i'm a "noob" at FI, not without skills/knowledge

but thnx for the concern, it could just be that i did not knew what i was getting myself into

p.s. i got room to learn it the hard way, i can blow 2 engines and still have one in mint condition for daily driving

from what people have said about that turbo, you can blow in it and it should spin. it would be fine on a d15, the only har part would be a dp flange. everything else is built in

but can someone confirm that the specs i've measured come to an

a/r off 77
turbine trim of 77 and a
compressor trim of 67

?????

and what boost can i safely run to stay under 190 whp, don't want to blow while getting the hang of tuning

The Greddy kit for the D series uses a TD04-15. I have one on a D16 in a EG and it is at full boost at around 3500 rpm. I run it at 10-11 lbs of boost everyday. It is fun to drive. It will spin the tires in second gear. As far as the flange for the DP you could probably order one from Turbonetics.

It appears that turbo has an integrated BOV, kinda like the SRT4 (and others).
