Correct me if I'm wrong, but, I thought I recalled the thunderbird being Supercharged, while the SHO was just a fairly quick Yamaha motor.

Oh wait a minute. Actually, now that I remember, the older older T-bird's did come with a turbo. Also, the older Ford Probe's came with a turbo. And I think the old older Ford Escorts came with a turbo as an option.

That's a whole lot of old Ford turbo cars.

Right, the SHO was one of the baddest Fords built, maybe because they did not build the motor I did see one with a blower once putting down over 500 HP....now that was sweet.

Damn now I think I have to go watch Evil Dead...

you def have .48 ar on the exhaust side. to measure the compressor wheel, take out the compresor housing by undoing six bolts on the center shaft. then measure the compressor wheel itself, like what I did in this pic below...

I kinda made a ghetto ruler gauge, stick two sheet metal and have one stay still and move the other one side to side to measure the distance...

measure the minor wheel ( smaller one). The major wheel is the same for all the compressor except for the 50 trim which has a full 3" major wheel...

50 trim = 50mm, 60 trim = 60mm, 57 trim = 57 mm, all minor wheel....

now do you see how they call it a 50 trim, 57 trim, 60 trim and so forth....

hope this helps

Ok, you have a Turbo off of a '86 Ford Thunderbird. . . . . we just got one off of one the other day. The same one! All of what you have said is what I have right here with me now. Here is the compressor map for that Turbo you have. . . . .

Gorsh, what an arrogance. How do you expect us to help you after that?

It's a Ford Thunderbird/SVO/GT/Merkur XRTI turbo. TB0344 is it's name. Please feel free to use Yahoo to find some good info on it. I did.

Stage I Turbine

.60 A/R Compressor Housing
