TB Size?
Does anyone know a formula to figure out how big the throttlebody needs to be for a certain hp/rpm/displacement? I've got a 62mm JG right now, and I'm thinking of just smoothing out the stock one and fluting(?) it a bit, but I want to make sure I won't be losing any power. I'm probably not going to break 200 at the crank, since it's a stock bottom end, for now....also, anyone interested in buying the JG?(I kinda need the cash)

Re: TB Size? (ion_four)
the formula is
Velocity = airflow rate divided byara of section
(Maximum boost pg 80-81.
its a lot harder than it looks, if you want I can do up a jpeg of a sample calculation and e-mail it to you ion_four. If so PM me your e-mail addy.

Re: TB Size? (BlueShadow)
I thought I remembered seeing that recently (read Maximum Boost a few weeks back). If you have a table of the calculations that would be cool, but I can probably do it on my own...here's another ? I'm not sure about the JG, but the stock throttlebody-plate doesn't open a full 90*, if I modified the stop (just a hair) to get to this, would it cause a problem? Also, what can I use to 'repaint' where the plate meets the inside for a seal, or do I need to do that? Thanks a bunch!
